Q. How can you make money without charging for tooling? [return to top]
A. We are located in a region where labor costs for highly skilled tasks like die-making and gasket making are significantly lower than in fully developed countries. This allows us to amortize any tooling costs in our per unit prices while still offering significant savings in most cases.
Q. Do you carry gaskets for [make, model]? [return to top]
A. We only carry a very limited range of stocked gaskets, which we list on eBay from time to time. However, as a custom gasket maker we can make any gasket using your old gasket, template, blueprint, or scan.
Q. How much do your gaskets cost? [return to top]
A. Prices are dependent on a number of factors, including:
Once we have the information above we can offer a quotation. Our prices are usually very competitive, especially with one-off or small production runs. As quantities increase prices generally decrease, often even when ordering as few as 5 units of one type of gasket. Why not find out how much your gasket or gaskets will cost by visiting our Quotation page now?
Q. Are you really willing to make just one gasket? [return to top]
A.Yes we are! It is easy to find out how much a gasket will cost by sending us a request for quotation message that includes an image or blueprint of a gasket and gasket details. For more information, click here.
Q. How secure will my credit cards details be? [return to top]
Very secure! Your credit card details are processed by PayPal® in the United States using a secure HTTPS connection. None of your confidential information is shared with Gaskets-To-Go®--we are only notified that your payment has cleared. To learn more about PayPal® security features please click here (a new browser window will open).
Q. How long does it take to complete my order? [return to top]
A. The time needed to complete most gasket orders usually ranges from 7-14 days. Large orders or complex gaskets may take longer. Shipping can take anywhere from 3-5 days for DHL® or TNT® (airfreight), 10-14 days for airmail, and 1-2 months for surface mail. When we offer a lead time estimate it is only that, an estimate. If you need your gaskets 'yesterday' it is probably a better idea to source closer to home.
Q. Can I specify the type of gasket material used? [return to top]
A. Yes, but we may not always have a specific brandname. You can let our experts determine the best material match for the gasket sample you submit, or state a preference. Most of our non-asbestos materials are supplied by Interface Solutions (USA).
Q. What kind of warranty do you offer? [return to top]
A. Gaskets-To-Go® will refund your purchase price including shipping if we are at fault for not producing gaskets according to your order instructions or drawing. In line with industry policies, Gaskets-To-Go® disclaims liability for neglect, misuse, special, incidental, direct, indirect, and consequential damages related to its gaskets.
Q. You're located in Thailand!! [return to top]
A. OK, that's a statement, not a question, but I get that a lot. The answer is yes. I am an American who has been resident here for more than 19 years. I have been involved in the manufacture and sale of gaskets for export for almost 14 years now. I will be happy to furnish references from previous customers on request. Gaskets-To-Go® is a verified PayPal® member, so your payments are protected by PayPal's security measures and policies.
Q. What is the best way to send samples/designs to you? [return to top]
A. For small and lightweight gaskets first class airmail is a cheap and reliable method. For larger or heavier gaskets the best way to ship them from the USA is to use one of the USPS Flat Rate Priority Mail Envelopes. These usually only take 5-7 days to reach us, are somewhat quicker than airmail, and can be tracked via the Web.. More information on mailing items to Gaskets-To-Go® can be found on our Mailing Information page. PLEASE DO NOT send items by UPS, FEDEX, DHL, or other courier. Inbound courier packages are often subject to duty and the service is not as reliable as the mail-believe it or not!.
Q. I am not signed up with PayPal. How can I pay for my gaskets? [return to top]
A. Although it is very easy to sign up for a PayPal® account, you don't need one in order to pay for your gaskets. You can use AMEX®, Discover®, Mastercard®, Visa®, or e-Checks® to pay for your gaskets using the PayPal® invoice.
